The Article.
The hippo crest embroidered across the front panel and set deliberately off-centre, to the wearer's left — the cap is the one place the crest is not centred, and it is meant to be noticed. GG Co. is stitched in gold across the back, and the monogram in its ring on the right side, so the piece carries three marks and reads differently from every angle. The crest is sewn in four threads — grey, white, navy and black; the two smaller marks in gold alone. Each mark is digitised once and sewn at the order; stitch sits proud of the cloth and wears in with it.
Cloth & Keeping.
Fitted Cap — the Flexfit 6277. 63% polyester, 34% cotton, 3% spandex twill; structured six panels at mid profile, with a curved visor and a silver undervisor; six embroidered eyelets. An elastic stretch band rather than a strap — it comes in two sizes and fits 22 to 23⅞ in, so it is chosen by head, not adjusted to it. Spot clean.
